"Cooperation not
competition"
The Chrysalis Institute's mission has three
mutually reinforcing goals. The first is to create educational facilities and
programs to disseminate knowledge enabling and encouraging our society's
transition from its current unsustainable paradigm to sustainability.
The second goal is to initiate or aid the creation of local earth friendly,
sustainable business enterprises to provide alternative technologies and
services in the fields of eco-friendly construction, power generation, waste
management and natural healing practices.
The third goal is to support and co-ordinate a non-hierarchal network of
business, institutions and interested individuals to create a community
working together for mutual assistance, co-operation and economic
sustainability (steady-state as opposed to growth) with the aim of spreading
the elements of a sustainable local economy.
