Storage Building - June 14th at 10:00 at 1943 Tenaya Way. Will resume building the storage building. Great opportunity to learn about papercrete and how to build with it. Registration is $10. COB BUILDING WORKSHOP 08

Cob Workshop Schedule:

Saturday June 15th - 9:00 am - 10:00 am: Discussion on how to make different cob mixes, the pro's and con's of cob and the different building methods used for cob. - Instructor: Adam Finney.

10:00 am - 2:00 pm: Hands on cob making including cob dancing (making cob by hand and feet), cob making with cement mixers, using a cobbers thumb, making cob loaves and how to construct walls with cob. How to make slip straw for insulation.

Directions: Take Hwy 140 from Mariposa east toward Yosemite National Park. Approximately one mile from Mariposa town, take a left on Grosjean Rd. Turn left on Avoca Vale, Take another left on Alta Vista. Stay to the right on gravel road. Follow till you reach the top of the mountain. Can't miss it.

Healing Center Projects:

Raising of the Dome Yurt - The Chrysalis Institute has received a 24' Dome Yurt complete with floor and foundation as a generous donation. We will be raising the dome in June/July to be used as a meeting place, to host alternative healing workshops and events.
